The wind was picking up all day, so I rearranged a few jobs and headed off to the estuary for a quick lunch-hour session.

When I got there it was solid 30 knots with some mad gusts, so I rigged my 4.5m sail and my wave board. As I did Graham turned up to go kite-surfing, but was a little surprised to find it quite so windy.

Once on the water I was perfectly powered up and had a really nice sail with some smooth gybes and sweet little chop hops.

The wind did drop off a little as I was about to get off the water, and by the time I had packed up it was down to around 18 knots, so Graham and Colin went out kite-surfing. It did seem to pick up again later though.
